Update on 2021 Little League Softball Start Plan

Hello Turlock National Baseball and Softball families:

We would like to provide you with a League update and general plan for how we see the start of our 2021 season happening.  While we are anxious to return to playing ball the health and safety of our athletes and community are our primary concern at this time, however we are predicting the return to the field in the near future.

Current Restrictions (Purple Tier): Currently we are not allowed to start our seasons because Stanislaus County is in the Purple Tier, which only allows for “conditioning” activities of athletes (1 coach and up to 25 athletes).

Future Restrictions (Red Tier): Baseball and Softball will be allowed, with COVID restrictions, to evaluate, practice, and play once our county is in the Red Tier.

Our Plan: Once Stanislaus County is in the Red Tier:

  • Hold evaluations 1 to 2 weeks after Red Tier is reached (modified to accommodate COVID restrictions)

  • Team selection/placement immediately following evaluations

  • Practices to begin one week after team announcements

  • Games to begin 2 weeks after first practice date

If Stanislaus County is not in the Red Tier or expected to be in the Red Tier by April 5, 2021, we will officially cancel our Spring season (this follows the guidance put forth by the local High School Sports Association - CCAL).  Please note that if we do cancel our Spring season, we will plan to have baseball/softball activities ASAP (once the red tier is reached) in the summer or fall months.

Note: All activities are subject to change based on Board decisions regarding COVID restrictions in place at the time of each activity.

Register NOW!  Pay Later!!:  To ensure your player is ready to go when we hit the Red Tier and can get back on the fields go online TODAY and register for the season.  No payment will be collected until we know for sure we can play ball.  To sign up go online to www.turlockLLsoftball.com and complete the registration form.  Due to COVID restrictions we will be collecting your residency and birth certificate documents online this season.  You can upload them during the online registration process or we will be available next week on the following dates and times via Zoom to help you.
